What we do

Following strict quality and responsibility standards, SIPLEC builds strong, stable and fair partnerships.

Long-term, fair relationships

We pursue long-term partnerships.
In 2021, 85% of SIPLEC’s business was with partners with whom we have worked for at least 3 years.

Our Business Code of Conduct

We expect all our suppliers in France and internationally to comply with the rules set out in our Business Code of Conduct: they undertake to grant access to third-party auditors who can monitor compliance throughout the duration of the contract and, where necessary, to engage in action plans designed to improve working conditions or environmental performance.

Our Code lays down rules for both ourselves and our partners, regarding:

Employment and working conditions

Health, safety and environment

Fight against corruption and influence peddling

Protection of personal data-GDPR, whistleblower system, penalties, competition

Compliance with the Code of Business Conduct

Compliance and Best Practices

Our internal whistleblower system collects information from employees or concerned third parties about practices that fail to comply with our Code of Business Conduct.

Any suspicious situation can be reported on our platform https://siplec.integrityline.org/.

The steps we take to protect the environment

SIPLEC is well aware of the impact of its products and business activities on the environment. We believe in the importance of taking concrete actions towards sustainable development. We’re involved in the eco-design and packaging of the products prior to the manufacturing process.

Our Efforts:

01

In 1994, we pioneered the incorporation of agricultural products into our fuels.
We were also the first to exclude palm and soy oil derivatives.

Biofuels

02

We have developed energy saving incentive programs for our stores, businesses and individuals.

03

We place the utmost emphasis on hydrocarbon transport risks. We routinely check refined product vessels (age, double hulls, etc.). We perform quality and safety audits of oil depots. We conduct training sessions for our gas station staff.

04

We do not use endangered wood species in our products and use only FSC-certified wood and wood products.

05

We do not use animal furs in textile fabrics, nor do we use angora or mohair.

06

In 1996, E.Leclerc was the first company to ban single-use plastic bags in its stores. SIPLEC contributed to this initiative by first providing plastic bags for permanent use, exchangeable and recyclable; then in 2020 by offering jute fiber bags, also returnable and recyclable in the textile industry.

We work towards expanding our labels, Hardline and Textile:

  • product life cycle assessment
  • environmental impact assessment
  • organic and recycled materials: making products recyclable and eco-designing them with clear requirements in our specifications
  • Certification of new materials

If you are a manufacturer and would like to offer your products with environmental labels or eco-designed products, you’re in the right place.

Safety and Quality Under Control

Our products are sold in the E.Leclerc stores, various retail concepts and drive throughs; that’s why we ought to be extra cautious and alert to ensure safety and reliability for the end consumers.

For these reasons :

  • Our partners are selected after conducting quality and safety audits.
  • We have got professional quality processes in place for each stage of the design-production-logistics cycle.
  • We ensure our products comply with European and French regulations, and with the performance levels expected by our customers. Assessments and controls are carried out by international independent laboratories and inspection companies which have their own laboratories in Europe.
